Pirates!

Bus drivers are pirates? Well at least this one felt then need to be one. Citybus has apparently lowered their standards for acceptance of drivers, and will now hire privateers. Arrr!

Big Buddha

The "Big Buddha" a the Po Lin monastery. Not a Buddhist myself but a very calm peaceful location. We were going to take the Ngong Ping 360 gondola ride, but it was not operating because of a car falling off of the wire a week before. We had to instead go on the packed bus to see the Buddha. Afterwards we went to Mui Wu and took a fast ferry back to Central.

HK Pigeon

This pigeon is sauntering on top of the lightpost. Of course you would too if you could fly.

HK Skyline - Day

The famous HK Skyline, now during the day from "The Peak". Took the peak tram with my co-worker on Monday while my co-worker's passport was getting a Visa. The temperature 31c, but the heat index was 41c. Very hot, but the peak was actually pretty nice with a constant breeze.

In the Plane

Guy next to me had a Bible. The worn/loved condition of it appealed to me.


The inside of the center of a 747.... This was about 1hr before landing.

Yes this was another airport that insists on *driving you* to the place where the plane is. On the plus side LA was much nicer than Boston, temperature and humidity wise.


Quantas 747's "Long Range" models took this shot at 35 MPH or so.

You just don't get a scale of how big these planes are, until your are there.

LAX Tails

So I made it to LAX. And found out that the flight that I was going to miss (because I was going to be late) was delayed. So I'm on it. Go me.

Waiting for planes.

Waiting for my flight to LAX then to HK. Due to American Airlines ineptitude and long lines, I missed my flight and now have to wait.
