Turquoise Rivers & Lakes

Driving around the Interlaken region in Switzerland we came across several rivers and at least one lake with this turquoise color. We had a good discussion trying to figure out what elements would make these colours. Any thoughts?

Flying though...

So having not taken a vacation in a while, resulted in me setting up a vacation to Europe for my family and I. Suffice to say this trip has started on a decidedly poor foot and will hopefully get better. Time will tell. This was in Interlaken, Switzerland, watching these parachute jumpers jumping from a local cliff/mountain. I did not end up doing this, but it looked fun.

Wisteria's Flowers

So next to the driveway, there is a large wisteria growing on through the chain link fence. Usually it ends up growing out of control and just being green and leafy. Having been in China last year very often resulted in me not seeing/noticing its blooms much. This year was different and I was happy to see the blooms and how beautiful the wisteria is. Now to keep it trimmed through the summer!

Plum Tree in bloom, Morning

Omly said a few nights in a row that "You should really take a picture of the plum tree it is beautiful!" I tend to agree with its balls of white flowers it almost looks like cotton.

Had a moment several times where I was leaving and said "I should really take a picture of those flowers" eventually I did!

Springtime Growth II

Plants continue to grow under careful care and feeding. Here they are getting some fresh air and sunlight.... more to come later!

Plum Tree in Bloom

Last year I was not present for when the Plum tree bloomed. This year, I got a chance to see it in progress. Still not quite at the leafy stage, it is very pretty with its white flowers.

Mushrooms!

Shitake mushrooms growing from a mushroom growing kit. They seem to be extra happy here!

Spring time Growth

With the winter weakening, plantings have become a hot topic and these plants are on their way up. They have started growing for the season indoors, getting a headstart on the plants outside.

Salads...

I have been enjoying making my salads and having them at work. Seems like a lot when its put on a plate like that but I suppose its good for you right?
