Pure biodiesel is uncommon in the US unlike in Europe. This unusual find was a little more expensive than it's petroleum based cousin.

Zigzag on Stairs

At the hostel that I stayed at there was a stair to go to the second floor. But with the sodium lights it made for a very weird sight.

The Hong Kong Art Museum (on the Kowloon side of the harbor) has a great view of the Hong Kong light show. The building with the white "latticework" is the Bank of China building.

Looking out on Shenzen

The view from the hotel in Shenzen was obscured by the high level of smog and pollution.

Drop Water Cooling

Drop water cooling was really popular in China, as it both fuel-efficient and energy-efficient in general, for cooling air. You can see that the interior is black with mold from the constant exposure to both water and air. This plant was in Shenzen in mainland China.

The 13th floor

Many people in the west get freaked out about the '13th floor', not so in the East. This is a picture of the lift controls, inside of the Prudential Hotel, Hong Kong.
